Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class A Truck Driver to join our team. As a Class A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a safe and timely manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our logistics department.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe Operation: Operate a Class A commercial vehicle, such as tractor-trailers or other large trucks, in a safe and responsible manner while strictly following traffic laws, company policies, and applicable regulations.
2. Cargo Transportation: Load, unload, and transport various goods and materials to designated destinations, ensuring the proper securing and handling of cargo to prevent damage or accidents.
3. Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes to maximize time and fuel efficiency while considering road conditions, traffic, and delivery schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and pick-ups.
4. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, including logbooks, trip sheets, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery receipts, in compliance with legal and company requirements.
6. Communication: Interact professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to relay necessary information, provide updates on delivery status, and address any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.
7. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, including but not limited to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, weight limits, and company policies regarding safety, security, and quality assurance.
8. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the truck, promptly reporting any mechanical or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
9. Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following best practices, participating in safety meetings and training programs, and being prepared to respond to emergency situations effectively.
10. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, displaying courtesy and respect towards customers and the public, and delivering goods with care and accuracy.
